Microwave

No, I didn't go buy one. At one point I thought a good excuse for being lazy and not getting one was that I couldn't possibly carry a microwave from the trunk of my car to my kitchen, but I think everybody who reads this would know that's bullshit.

The reason I am blogging about microwaves is because I felt like a piece of leftover meat this morning. A couple weeks before the wedding I starting tanning, just so I wouldn't look like a ghost in the black bridesmaid dress. I think I might be a little bit addicted to tanning now. I thought it was pretty ridiculous at first, I was always the girl who embraced my whiteness because all the fashion magazines say it's the "in" thing. Whatever. I was embracing my whiteness because I was afraid to have my fat ass out in the sun wearing clothes that allowed for tanning.

I was also convinced that I could never use a tanning bed because I would break it. Had I only known about stand up tanning then.

So I started tanning. Initially I just used the stand up tanning booths and got myself a nice golden, skin cancer waiting to happen, tan. Somebody told me that the tanning beds would not break if I used them, just think of all the big powerlifter types who use them. That was enough to get me in one.

I have to admit that I love going to tan right after working out. Its very relaxing, laying there in the warmth, drifting off for 10 minutes. Not a good idea if you are claustrophobic, though. But anyway, I'm in the tanning bed this morning and I was using a bed I hadn't used before. All the beds I have been in and the stand up booth all beep and shut off when your time is up, but this bed beeped just like a microwave. I cooked myself for 10 minutes and I liked it.

I'm also excited to have this tan because I have every intention of spending time at the pool this summer and I'm hoping this will save me from the "damn you and your spf 1000000000 sunblock" sun burn.

Seriously though, its been ages since I've been to a pool. I'd love to tag along.
