Searching for Dan the trainer

If you Google Dan the trainer, my blog is the second site listed. Dan and I discovered that this morning at the gym. Yeah, now Dan can find my blog. I guess I'll have to start watching what I say about him. Dammit. We had a very blogable conversation today, too.

We didn't work out this morning, just discussed my food. He had me make a grocery list for the week and said I can't stray from the list, except for cleaning products and feminine hygiene. That's exactly how he put it, too, "you can buy as many cleaning products and feminine hygiene as you want." There goes my excuse for not doing laundry this weekend.

In other news, it's only two short weeks until the dreaded bridesmaid dress. The dress isn't nearly as dreaded now, though. Getting measured for the dress 3 months ago was absolutely horrible. The girl measured me and announced to the store that they don't make the dress big enough for me and I would need to order no less than 3 extra yards of fabric to have the dress made bigger. 3 YARDS?!?!? Jesus, I wasn't that big. Maybe she meant I needed 3 yards to make sure there was enough fabric to go the entire length. Despite Dan telling me to just not be in the wedding, because stressing about it or starving myself to fit in the dress wasn't a good idea, I decided that I WOULD get in that damned dress. I wouldn't starve myself, but I would get in that dress.

My mom was with me when I went to pick it up. I kept telling her that I would not try the dress on at the shop because I knew I would be humiliated when I couldn't get it on. Then I was freaked out that 2 weeks wouldn't be nearly enough time for a seamstress to make the dress big enough for me. For some reason I decided to try it on at the shop. You can probably guess that the dress fit! It's even big in the chest (why couldn't it have been so big in the waist???). I am just trying to stay focused on the fact that part of the dress is noticeably too big and I have 3 yards of extra fabric that won't get used.

I was told to not lose my motivation now that I have had some success. I don't think I'll lose any motivation. I said the dress fit, I didn't say it looked good. It does, though :)
