Today is Greek Easter. Well, Eastern Orthodox Easter. It's not just the crazy Greeks.

Last year I posted pics of lamb cooking in my uncle's back yard, this year I took pics of the lamb while they were putting it on the spit. It is pictures of a skinned lamb, and there is some blood. You've been warned.

Starting the fire:

It was cold at 4:30 in the morning. The fire felt good. We were sitting on those stones, though and they were cold and damp. I think it took about an hour for my ass to warm up after I got home at 6am.

Ew. My uncle has been doing this as long as I can remember and this is the first time I've ever been there to see the meat put on the spit.

Uncle George and my cousin Nick. I was teasing Nick that he was just standing there looking sexy. I hope he doesn't care that his picture is on here. Haha. Not really.

George was wearing those same clothes when I got there to eat at like 3:30pm. He said "I wonder why no one wants to go through the food line after me. Ha!"

Uncle George teasing his dog, Callie:

After having to make a couple of adjustments, the lamb is centered and cooking:

I ate way too much today, but what the hell.
