I got a flyer in the mail yesterday from the Jazzercise people. Apparently they have a "12 week fitness and nutrition testimonial program" that they need people for.
Taken directly from the flyer:
The 12-week program includes
-Coaching support by a fitness instructor
-Complete fitness and body assessment
-Complete Nutrition Seminar Program
-Full Membership Privileges
-Special Low-Impact Aerobic Workouts
-Childcare available at select locations
If you qualify:
You will receive the 12-week program valued at $349 FREE! You are only required to pay the regular monthly dues and allow us to feature your results in a testimonial.
They lost me at Nutrition Seminar Program. I can hear it now - Low fat!! Eat oatmeal!! 1500 calories a day, chicken breast, brown rice, blah blah blah. It makes my brain hurt thinking about it.
I'm curious now what the "regular monthly dues" are. I'm going to call this morning and ask.
I took a jazzercise class once and it was kinda fun, but it may have been the novelty more than anything. I don't usually like fitness classes.

I got the same flyer in the mail today. I called and they said there is a $50.00 reg. fee which they don't mention on the flyer, and then its $40.00 month. The complete nutrition semeinar sounds good as I need help in that area, but the "technique" class is kind of silly, I think they could just show you that in class. The $40 a month doesn't really sound that bad, but I am kind of irritated with the $50.00 registration fee which they said is just a "one time monthly fee". What do you think?
So, I wonder if the $349 value you are getting for free includes the other charges. if not, that's $349 plus $50, plus $120 for the full 12 weeks. $519 for a 12 week program?? I don't fricken think so! My gym membership is $23 a month and that includes all the free exercise classes I feel like taking. Blech. Sounds like its too good to be true.
