It's true!

Pork fat DOES rule.

I made salmon and asparagus tonight. The salmon isn't that exciting, I just cooked in on the stove with a little olive oil, but the asparagus is another story!!

Googling "asparagus" gets you plenty of recipes, mostly steamed. The easiest way to steam it as far as I am concerned is in the microwave, but since I don't have a microwave (I've been meaning to pick one up, but I'm lazy) I was looking for something different. I found a recipe for stir fried asparagus, and that made me think why can't I make asparagus like green beans?

What I did:

Cut cleaned asparagus into large, bite size pieces.
Cut 2 slices of bacon into small pieces.
Fry bacon in pan until crispy.
Add asparagus to bacon pieces that are swimming in delicious bacon fat.
Cook until desired tenderness. I cooked it about 5-6 minutes until bright green and still crisp.
