I was unable to resist the scale today. I think we're going to be on speaking terms again for a while.
That's not a bad thing, though. The number was 19 pounds less than the last time I looked.
I've been on the sugar wagon for a while and that has worked well for me, but 2 things have prompted me to cut even more carbs from my diet: A) I ate some (ok, a bag) tortilla chips recently and felt so horribly like garbage, I wanted to puke. In the past, that would just put me to sleep. And, B) a guy here at work is on some meat diet and losing weight like crazy. I am very jealous. So, basically I'm eating meat and vegetables right now. I'm on day 6, and I have committed to a whole month. A couple things I have noticed about eating this way is that I don't get so hungry very late at night and I'm not having so many cravings. Interesting. We'll see what happens in the next three weeks.
I do still have shakes for breakfast. This morning it was a scoop of protein powder, a tablespoon of heavy cream, half a cup of water, a cup of ice, half a teaspoon of vanilla and a packet of stevia.
