Today's shake

Pumpkin!!

About 1 cup of skim milk
1/3 cup pumpkin (canned, plain pumpkin)
1/2 cup oats
1 scoop protein powder
1 TBSP ground flax seed
1 packet Stevia
Cinnamon and Pumpkin Pie spice to taste
(407 calories)

This shake was considerably runnier than yesterdays. I think I need to freeze the pumpkin. It was still super yummy!

I've got soy protein powder and whey protein powder at home. I used the whey protein for this shake. I think I like the whey protein powder better. I buy the 'no sugar added' varieties, but whey seems a little naturally sweeter (which makes sense), and it has a lighter texture. Less chalky. The soy protein gums up the blades on my blender if I don't add all the ingredients in the right order (something wet, then the powder, etc).

Tomorrow's shake is going to be orange based. Stay tuned :)
