Fashions come and go.

And some should stay gone. I was thinking about how fashion trends are cyclical and come back around every 20-30 years or so. Great. As you know, big hair is back.

The reason I am thinking about this is because last night I watched the latest Dynasty reunion show. When I was little, I LOVED Dynasty. I was born in 74, so I was 7 years old when it started. I probably shouldn't have even been watching it and in my mom's defense, I remember it driving her nuts that my brother and I watched it. At the time I was just watching it because these people were glamorous and fought a lot, I had no idea what was going on. Steven was gay? Huh? Why did that guy die while he was naked with the evil lady?

So, 2 things stuck out to me while watching this reunion show. Linda Evans has either had too much or not enough plastic surgery and HOLY CRAP shoulder pads were huge back then.

I also watched American Idol last night. The show is down to five:

Elliot
Paris
Katharine
Chris
Taylor

My personal choice for bottom 2 tonight is Taylor and Paris. More realistically, it will be Elliot and Paris, with Paris going home. Paris is a good singer, but I think the other 4 have more rabid fans ( like my mother who voted for Elliot 5 times) that will keep them there.

My favorite performance last night was Katharine's second song. Holy cow that girl is hot. Or is it Hawt? Katharine's first performance was horrible, though. Aside from my favorite, nobody really moved me last night. None of this matters, though. I will watch these last 5 give mediocre performances every Tuesday night for the next 5 years and be happy about it, now that Kellie is gone.
