I was telling a co-worker today that AA meetings are fascinating when you aren't there because of your own issues, but are just observing.
I shouldn't enjoy hearing about how other people's lives are more screwed up than mine, but I do. I think it's somewhat normal to take comfort in the fact that somebody else is just as (if not more) screwy than you are.
